A glance at the successes of our tuba and euphonium students at Arizona State University…

Tarin Jones – spring 2020 – graduated BM in music education and accepted a teaching position as Assistant Band Director at Red Mountain High School and Band Director at Falcon Elementary

Dr. Blake Ryall – graduated DMA in tuba spring 2020, performs with Phoenix Brass Collective and West Valley Symphony, touring and teaching

Elijah Ramirez – accepted to the 2020 Eastern Music Festival

Matthew Rose – accepted to march Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps – 2020

Thomas Gerald – accepted to march Boston Crusaders – 2020

Dr. Danielle VanTuinen – 2019 – accepted a teaching position at University of Florida, Assistant Professor of Tuba and Euphonium

Dr. Travis Netzer – 2018 – accepted a teaching position at Northern State University in South Dakota and repair technician at Taylor Music – also founder of ROCK TUBA!

Dr. David Earll – accepted a teaching position at Ithaca College, NY – 2018

Ramon Garavito, Jr. – Semi finalist in Artist Tuba division of the International Leonard Falcone Festival 2017

Marc Placencia – Winner of tuba position in the Disney Summer College Band program 2017, Los Angeles

Will Tucker VI – accepted to and attending the Curtis Institute Summerfest 2017, tuba

Tyler Cano – graduated May 2016, BA in Music Education –  Director of Band and Orchestra at Polytechnic Academy in the Queen Creek, AZ School district. Congrats!!

  • Will Tucker, VI – selected to participate in Eastern Summer Music Festival, 2016
  • Kyle Smith – won and accepted a euphonium position with the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corp in Washington DC
  • Breland Hughes – marched with Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corp. 2015 World Champs
